Duda on the backstage of the conversation with Trump. "Putin is not an ordinary politician"

- It was a good discussion, I highly value this meeting - said President Andrzej Duda in the program "Gość Wydarzeń" regarding the meeting of the National Security Council. He emphasized the fundamental importance of maintaining unity in the matter of Poland's security policy.

The President answers questions from Bogdan Rymanowski in the program "Gość Wydarzeń". Two days earlier, Andrzej Duda appeared in Washington, where he talked with US President Donald Trump.

On Monday, a meeting of the National Security Council was held. - There we discuss the most important issues, including difficult ones in the scope of national security. (...) In these most important issues we have unity, we have one Polish policy regardless of colors - said the president about the National Security Council.

Duda said that the expansion of the Polish army initiated by the United Right is "continued in every inch". - It is additionally expanded, new agreements are being concluded by the next government - he said.

Recently, two representatives of the American administration arrived in Warsaw - the head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, and the envoy for Ukraine and Russia, General Keith Kellogg. Both appeared at the Presidential Palace.

The president said in "Gość Wydarzeń" that when he was planning the RBN meeting, he had already had talks with Trump's envoys, and that his visit to Washington made Monday's meeting "extremely important."

- A direct conversation with the president of the United States was of fundamental importance to me - he said, referring to the international situation. Duda said that he discussed the most important security issues with Trump.

- For me, Donald Trump is an absolutely reliable partner, a high-class, high-format politician who perhaps works in politics in an unconventional way - because he is not really a politician, he is just a businessman - especially for European politicians - he said.

Duda stressed that in his opinion Trump is a US president who favors Poland.
